Stem Cells

Access to datasets from Stemformatics

For access to the Stem cells data, please go to Stemformatics..

Access to the datasets is not provided via this portal.

Introduction

Stem cells allow us to study fundamental processes in tissue growth, development, aging and disease. The next waves of medicine will build on personalised therapies for drug treatments that require an understanding of drug-genetic-tissue interactions. Stem cells programs that can direct the differentiation of cells lead to the assembly of mini-organs in a dish that are already in use for disease screening in Australia, and around the world.

The Bioplatforms Stem Cells Collaborative Data Initiative aims to deliver multi-omics data to support national research efforts in Stem Cells biology. The end goal of this nationally collaborative program is to provide a public resource (data and methodology) that will enable a broad scope of future research endeavors. All datasets are generated through the consortium that comprises the expert input of leading stem cells researchers, omics platform specialists and a designated scientific steering committee. The advantage of this type of initiative is the generation of new linkages and research partnerships.

Invitation to Collaborate

Bioplatforms Australia promotes data sharing and collaborative interactions are encouraged to advance scientific discovery and maximize the value to the community from this Australian Government (NCRIS)-funded dataset. As such, the consortium would like to extend an invitation to collaborate.

Data from the Initiative is made available to members of the consortium upon generation. Following a period of mediated access, where access to the data will be limited to members of the consortium and other approved parties, the data will be made available publicly.

Should you wish to access the data during this mediated period, please email (data.access@bioplatforms.com) with your name, affiliation, specific data for which access is being requested and a brief outline of the intended data use. This information will be assessed by Bioplatforms Australia and the consortium, and you will be contacted to discuss collaborative access.

Please find the Data Policy here (https://data.bioplatforms.com/organization/pages/bpa-stemcells/data-policy)

Acknowledging the consortium

When using Stem Cells Framework Initiative data, please acknowledge the Consortium and Bioplatforms Australia support using the following wording:

"We would like to acknowledge the contribution of the Stem Cells Framework Data Initiative consortium (https://data.bioplatforms.com/organization/pages/bpa-stemcells/consortium) in the generation of data used in this publication. The Initiative is supported by funding from Bioplatforms Australia. Bioplatforms Australia is enabled by NCRIS."
